Meanwhile, here are a few questions that have come up for a lot of my customers:
How do I get the parts to you?
If you live in the Bay Area you can stop by and drop them off. Alternatively, if you do not live in the Bay Area, you can choose to ship them to me. Please email me for more information.
Shipping your parts:
Please use bubble wrap to wrap your parts. Popcorn or peanuts in the box causes parts to move in shipment and you're responsible for the damage (if any). Please pack your own parts. Use newspaper and crumpled-up cardboard for filler.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs may vary, depending upon the size and weight of the package and the carrier you use. I recommend UPS &/or FedEx.
How much do you charge?
Prices vary depending on the complexity of the design, number of colors, number of parts and other factors. Please email me with more information about your specific job. I can assure you that my services are priced reasonably, and will deliver you high quality for less money than other shops.
How should I make payments?
I require at least one third of the estimated cost before starting work. The final payment should be deposited before I will release the finished product. Payments can be done through PayPal transfers or any Credit Card through PayPal as well.
What type of paint jobs do you accept?
I work on motorcycles, in particular cruiser style bikes such as Harleys, Shadows, Vstars, IronHorse etc. Once in a while I take filler jobs……mailboxes, computer cases etc. (starting at $150) but there is no guarantee I can accept this projects. We are a premium quality bike paint business.
How long will it take you to paint the designs?
Upon receiving your items, it can take 3 to 4 weeks to complete the artwork. I like to make sure that the paint job is fully cured; it ensures the quality and durability of the paint job.
Do you do body work if it is needed?
Usually body work is no charge as long as it’s minor, as in dents and dings. Other than that the body work will be outsourced & the charges would be depending on what the damage is.
How long until I can wax it?
I recommend 6 weeks. Use Carnuba wax.
What about the area around the gas cap?
I apply a special epoxy, a tried and tested method. You still must use a vented gas cap.
How do you finish under the fenders?
I can just use the same paint color i use for your job or for and minimal extra charge I use rubber undercoating "black matte", it helps to stop chips from developing from rocks coming off the tires and hitting the underside of the fender.
